About what happened to me in Morwell

The circus was in town the day I went down

There were animals and acrobats, and also a clown!

But no time for fun, I had some things to get done

Some items to buy, and an errand to run

Missed out on the circus, but I just said “oh well”

Oh well, oh well, I could just say oh well

Next time I’ll see it, and then I will tell.

Got them all done, now to see a good mate,

I drove around very lost, so I got there quite late

Quite late, quite late, I arrived rather late

But he knew that would happen, so there was no room for hate.

My reputation precedes me quite well,

He knew I’d get lost so all was now swell

Morwell, Morwell, oh confusing Morwell.

We bought some cheap food, because I was broke as all hell

You had no change so I gave you shrapnel.

The look in your eyes, I thought you were going to yell!

Morwell, Morwell, made me broker than hell,

But I got rid of my shrapnel, so all was quite well,

Even though you were about to get angry and yell

My tummy felt crook, I began feeling unwell

I thought I would puke, and that it would smell.

Unwell, unwell cheap food made me unwell

Instead I just said that “I couldn’t be more well”

More well, more well! I couldn’t be more well!

That’s what I said, but I lied - could you tell?

I did not want to puke because of the smell!

Oh Morwell, Morwell, I was ill in Morwell!

So we saw a movie at Mid Valley 8,

The movie was awesome, I thought it was great,

Conveniently enough it was in cinema eight,

There was no one in line, so there was no kind of wait.

Morwell, Morwell, a movie in Morwell,

I watched as the bad guy threw in the towel

The good guy just said “no harm, and no fowl”

Morwell, Morwell, entertaining Morwell!

It was time to leave, or to get a hotel,

I could not pay unless my soul I did sell

So instead it was time for me to say fare thee well,

And to leave behind the lovely town Morwell!

And so I did tell, of my time in Morwell!

The shrapnel, being unwell and the pricey hotel!

The circus, my mate, and the cheap food as well,

But now, I’m afraid it’s time to bid thee farewell!
